The State of Florida defines a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) as a development that would have a substantial effect upon the health, safety or welfare of citizens of more than one county because of its character, magnitude or location. The DRI process is governed by Chapter 380.06 of the Florida Statutes. SLC has devoted a substantial amount of time over the years reviewing and analyzing DRI Development Orders (DO) for our clients. When a DO is not in compliance, requires amendment, or when it is necessary to create a DRI for a new project, assembling the right team of professionals is critical.
